Many people think that the best way to fit an L shaped shower bath is by simply adding an extra half-inch to the back wall of the bath.
However, this is not the way to do it. When you do this, you are forcing the sides to fit together, and there is no way to get a good seal to make it fit together correctly. You can get a very lovely shower enclosure if you add additional waterproofing to the bottom of the bath and also add a rigid panel to the sides that will seal the sides from water leakage in case of a leak. The easiest way to fit L-shaped shower baths is to add some dimensions into the shower enclosure dimensions, with the combined size of being four inches wider than the room width. To add these additional dimensions, you can use a software program, or you can take some measurements that you can copy onto a piece of paper or a couple of photos. For example, you can take a photo of the bathroom, the shower enclosure, and then take the corners, for the corner slot, subtract one inch from the area of the picture and then multiply that by two to be sure that you get a full two inches. This is your way to add to the shower size. This works for any bath that has a back wall. Now, you want to fit these changes to the L shape to the shower enclosures' measurements, as well as the dimensions of the room. This way, you can see the overall effect when you install the new L shaped shower enclosure. You can see the extra space that you have by looking at the existing bathroom and measuring the room from the corner. Then, you can place the frame for the corner slot and add the back corner slot length. When you are finished, you will have a bath with a beautiful dimension that will help you seamlessly fit the extra space. If you want to make this even more comfortable, take the bathroom enclosures' measurements and make a graph. Take each corner, and measure in inches from the edge of the door frame or an entranceway. Then, convert these measurements to inches by multiplying by two. To have a smooth transition, you can draw a rough sketch of what you want the change to look like and then use a tracking tool to fill in the shapes and colors you have drawn for the picture of the dimensions. Take your outline and cut out the forms, but it may be easier to use a high-quality photocopier and photocopy your work. Once you have done this, you can paint the lids of the shower enclosures and add them to the bathroom before you start any work on the frame of the doors, as well as the outline of the toilet. Then, you will find that you can fit your l shaped shower bath without any problems.
